Sold Out – Cardiff’s Lions dinner.

The power of the Lions brand in action. The Cardiff leg of the British & Irish Lions Dinner Series where “an array of the greatest Lions will come together to evoke memories of past glories, tell their very special stories and look ahead to the Tour to New Zealand” sold out earlier this week.

The event costs £275 per person and an auction at the event will raise money for The Lions Charitable Trust which supports charities in  each of the countries where the dinners are hosted. Sounds like a great, if a little pricey, night out.

For the same price in NZ you could buy a ticket for each of the provincial games and still have enough change to enjoy a couple of beers and a pie before kick-off (or you could give the £80 change to charity).

Now that’s a good deal. Well done the NZRU.
