Sky Tower as seen from the living room of the house that came second in our shortlist.

The sky tower is 10 today (03/08/07 )so we headed into to town to take advantage of ‘children free’ and $5 (£2) for adults deal to enter the Sky tower At 328m high it is the tallest man-made structure in the Southern Hemisphere. The tower is part of the SkyCity casino and hotel complex.

SkyCity is a sponsor of the Auckland Blues and current Blues players Chris Mahoney (who is also a rights human rights student working from time-to-time in Sierra Leone), Charlie Faumuina (also NZ Colts) and Sam Tuittupou (9 caps for the All Blacks between 2003 and 2006) the captain were on-hand in the observation lounge to add some rugby glamour to proceedings. Ellie, Cari and Meg all were given posters which the players signed.
