So far Ruth and children experience of New Zealand has been an exciting holiday. Gillian, Ruth’s mother has been there to help out and the last two weeks have been spend exploring the area mine in with shopping for things that you need when you move into a new house (but on steroids given we’ve arrived with only the cases we brought not he plane).
Things are about to move up a gear as Ruth’s mother Gillian heads back to Wales.
We had a ‘last supper’ in a restaurant in mission bay on Friday evening a ‘last supper’ for Gillian who was flying back the next day.
Saturday bring tears floods of tears from all as Gillian says good buy to Ruth and the children before run her to the airport for her flight. At check-in we discover that she’s mis-read the departure time and we are several hours early. Gillian decides that given the ‘tears’ that have accompanied her leaving the house that she should not go back ( and repeat the good bye process again !) and is adamant that she will kill the time in departure reading.
to go the airport it is probably best for Gillian to buy a good book and kill the time in the departures
I say good bye to Gillian who’s help has been crucial to out move and we look forward to seeing you and Hywel in October (tentative plans are starting to firm-up) ?!!
